Group FAQ

Before You Come

Is your group looking for family attractions in Maryland? Look no further, as group rates for the Adventure Park at Sandy Spring are available for groups of 10 or more with an advanced reservation (required at least 2 weeks in advance).

Group reservations are confirmed by receipt of a $150 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. Full payment is due 2 weeks in advance of the reservation.

Please Note: Group reservations require advance reservation. We have limited availability, and slots are filled at a first-come, first-serve basis.

To reserve a date and time for your group outing, please call our office at 240.389.4386! We require a $150 non-refundable deposit to lock in your spot and your remaining balance will be due two weeks prior to your selected date.

We need a ballpark number of climbers to put you down for, but you’ll be able to adjust this before making the final payment!

We’re happy to take group reservations 7 days of the week!

Weekdays (Monday – Friday): During the Spring and Fall, we have limited weekday hours. If you’d like us to open up the Park outside of our listed hours, we require a minimum of 25 climbers and can do so on Wednesdays and Thursdays along with Friday mornings. If you’d like to come out at a time that we are open per our listed hours, the 10 person minimum still applies.

During the Summer, we can take your group any time that’s available Monday – Friday!

Weekends (Saturday, Sunday, & Holidays): Due to high volume & demand on the weekends, we have limited capacity for group bookings. Slots that are available are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. In addition, we can rarely book during our peak hours on the weekend.

Call us or click the “Check Availability” button to see if your date and time is available!

If you’re looking to take off climbers, we will issue you a gift card equaling the cost of however many you take off. The gift card will never expire!

Additional climbers must be added on and paid for in advance. Additional climbers that show up the day of will be charged the General Admission Rate.

Please note: We are unable to offer compensation for no-shows.

We will open the Park outside of our listed General Admission hours for groups of 25+ climbers!

Before You Come

Please be aware that all participants will be required to present a completed/signed waiver upon arrival. A waiver must be completed online for each participant, and must be signed by a parent/guardian if the participant is under age 18.

Our waiver is available online. Each waiver link is unique to its reservation.

For group leaders: You can find the link to the waiver in your confirmation email. Click “View/Manage Reservation” to view your reservation dashboard. Click on the “Waivers” tab to view & share the waiver with your group.

For Participants: Please contact your group leader (whoever set up the reservation) and ask them to share the waiver link with you.

Please Note: We do not offer any general waiver link on our website.

Once your reservation is set up, we will email you a confirmation. In the confirmation email, click the “View/Manage Reservation” button to view your reservation dashboard.

On this page, you’ll see a waiver tab in the top bar. Once you’re there, you’ll see the waiver, on in English and one in Spanish. Click “Copy link to clickboard.” You can then paste the link to the waiver in an email or text to your group members!

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept printed waivers under any circumstance. All waivers must be completed online.

Although we highly recommend getting all waivers done in advance to speed up your check-in process, we do have stations set up at the Park to complete any missing waivers. Chaperones will be able to complete waivers on behalf of youth under the age of 18.

You can see everyone who has completed a waiver on the Waivers page in your client dashboard. To get there, click the “View/Manage Reservation” button in your confirmation email.

You can cross-check the names that appear here against your list to figure out who’s still missing a waiver.

While You're Here

While You're Here

Of course! The Park is happy to host parties and gatherings of any kind for those who would enjoy climbing & ziplining through the tree tops.

While we do not offer any facilitated team building activities, The Adventure Park is a great venue for a corporate outing or team building event. Climbing in The Park is a fun way to interact with co-workers outside of the normal office setting. It enhances cooperation, communication, and group cohesion.

All of our group & party bookings come with picnic table reservations in our pavilion area! You’ll get a certain number of tables based on your group size for the entire duration of your climb as well as one hour after.

The time on your tickets will run straight through once they’re printed. However, climbers will have the opportunity to take breaks and have a bite to eat in between courses if they wish to.

There are several significant rules that you and your guests or group members should be aware of:

  • The park has a weight limit for climbing guests of 265 lbs.
  • There are certain limitations based on age and experience which may limit the access of younger climbers to certain trails in the park. More info.
  • Closed toed shoes are required for climbing.
  • Alcohol, smoking and vaping anywhere on park property are not permitted.
